We Love Them We Hate Them
Today has started off such a typical Monday. I hate to even say that because it sounds so jaded but this has been so stereo typical of a mad Monday. I woke up still very tired. I think I really needed one more day to recover from a very fun ( but very busy) weekend. 6:30 AM came too fast. After getting little one to school I came home and got a few more hours of sleep. When I woke I remembered I had to get to the DR. to have blood drawn for my yearly check up. I have to fast to get this done…. which I had so I did not want to wait another day. Off to the DR I went. I came home to the front door open. Maybe it didn’t latch, I am not sure but with 2 dogs and a cat I was freaking out before setting foot in the house. My indoor cat was sitting on the stoop and quickly ran inside when she saw me pull up. First think I thought was OMG both of my pups are GONE!!!!! I ran in the house and started calling for my pups. My baby Pom came running from upstairs but my Corgi ( the great herding dog) was gone. He loves to chase squirrels and deer more than he loves to eat and man does he love to eat! I immediately notify neighbors and the Subdivision and head out to place “missing” signs. After an hour of driving around calling for his crazy ass I get a call from my neighbor that someone already found him and took him to the club house. You can imagine my relief. I was so mad at him, then again when I saw him I was so relieved I could not scold him. He is such a dumb happy dog he seriously would have no idea what the trouble was. This to him was the best day ever. He got to chase squirrels, make new friends and then have Mommy come pick him up! LOL! I am just happy he is home. I am off to get a new front door now:)
It is times like this I am reminded that even when it feels like the world is full of mean, uncaring and sometimes down right rude folks… there is still a handful of lovely human beings. I happen to be extremely fortunate to live amongst a community full of the good ones:) Next time you have the chance to do something kind for another, do it…. It comes back ten fold.
PEACE!
